Two international tournaments – the Gdynia Rhythmic Stars & the Baltic Junior Cup – where participants from all around the world will be competing for the championship in two age categories (seniors and juniors) will take place on 20-22 May 2022 at Gdynia Arena (ul. Górskiego 8).
The Gdynia Rhythmic Stars is a rhythmic gymnastics tournament approved by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). 34 junior gymnasts and 18 seniors from 14 countries (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Israel, Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, Ukraine, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Poland) will take part in the tournament. There will also be three teams in the group competition: Azerbaijan, Slovakia and Poland.
The Baltic Junior Cup will be held at the same time with 112 gymnasts aged 9 to 14.
Gdynia is a rapidly developing, modern port city by the Baltic Sea. Every year there are many cultural and sporting events taking place in Gdynia.
The city has one of the main entertainment and culture centres in the Tri-City area – Gdynia Arena, a multi-purpose facility where the tournament is held. The arena is where regular sports, art and theme events take place. For many years it has been visited by tourists from all around Poland and abroad, and thanks to its amazing architecture it complements the city’s landscape.
